Environmental, Social, and Governance

At Tiger, we are committed to upholding Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices that make a positive impact on the world and the communities we serve. We recognize our responsibility to our customers, our employees, and the planet, and we take it seriously.

In all that we do, we strive to be environmentally responsible and minimize our impact on the planet. One way we give back is by supporting the world's woodlands at every opportunity. We are dedicated to sustainable practices and protecting our natural resources for generations to come.

We also believe in the importance of social responsibility and being a positive force in the communities where we operate. We strive to make a difference by investing in our people, supporting local businesses, and contributing to important causes.

Furthermore, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of governance, ensuring transparency, integrity, and accountability in all our business practices. We believe that strong governance is essential for building trust with our customers and stakeholders and achieving long-term success.

By prioritizing ESG practices, we aim to create a better world for everyone, one that is sustainable, equitable, and prosperous.

Sourcing Timber Sustainably

We are committed to sourcing timber sustainably and responsibly. We take pride in using only high-quality materials, and we believe that the environmental impact of our products is just as important as their quality

We are proud to say that all the timber we use comes from well-managed forests and other controlled sources. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that our timber is harvested in a sustainable and responsible way, so we can continue to offer our customers the highest quality products without compromising the health of the planet.

We understand that not all of our competitors can make this claim, and we believe that it's important for consumers to know where their products come from and how they are made. We are committed to being transparent about our sourcing practices and to making sure that our customers can trust the products they buy from us.

We are dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment and contributing to a sustainable future. By sourcing our timber responsibly, we are doing our part to protect the world's forests and ensure that they can continue to provide for us for generations to come.

Carbon Positive Within A Year

Tiger is committed to reducing our carbon footprint and making a positive impact on the environment. We are proud to be part of the carbon footprint standard audit process, and our goal is to achieve carbon positive status in the next 12 months.

Carbon Footprint Standard

To achieve this goal, we are implementing a number of internal initiatives. For example, we use biomass fuel to provide heating for all three of our UK sites. This fuel is produced exclusively by burning timber offcuts, which not only helps us reduce our carbon emissions, but also helps us make better use of our resources.

We also have a wood-waste recycling program in place. We do not generate any wood waste in our factories, and all planed wood shavings, rejected or waste material is collected and shredded where required to be converted into high-quality animal bedding for the pet and equestrian markets. By doing so, we are reducing the amount of waste we produce and creating a valuable product that benefits our customers.

In addition to our internal initiatives, we work closely with some fantastic carbon offsetting partners to help us achieve our carbon positive goal. We believe that by taking these steps, we can make a meaningful contribution to protecting the environment and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.

Tree Planting

Planting Trees, Saving Lives

You can still enjoy the huge benefits of buying your garden building from Tiger and plant and protect up to four trees whilst doing it! With the help of our partners at Ripple Africa Tiger will now be able to replant a tree and protect a further three for every order placed.

To contribute towards this cause, for every order of a Tiger shed, we fund tree planting – of similar types of tree as we use to produce our high quality sheds - in areas affected by and at risk of deforestation. Allowing the local community to use these trees means that existing native forests can be preserved, with one new tree protecting up to three existing ones.

Moreover, for every social media share, we donate funds for the planting of an additional tree. Through this initiative, as well as helping protect indigenous forests and supporting the local communities, we are helping to provide other support programmes in education, farming and environmental management as well as the supply of tools like more efficient stoves to thousands of people enabling them to plant, grow, and protect their natural resources for future generations.

Cleansing The Pallet

We are excited to be part of Pallet Loop, a pioneering pallet re-use scheme for the UK's manufacturing and construction industry. As a founding member of the initiative, we are proud to support this circular economy approach to pallet use that will revolutionize the way materials are distributed across Great Britain and Ireland.

The Pallet Loop scheme offers a sustainable, efficient, and safe solution that reduces waste and promotes the reuse of pallets. For more information, visit the website at www.thepalletloop.com.
