Pent Sheds

Thanks to their sleek modern look and reasonable price point, pent roof sheds are an increasingly popular choice amongst homeowners looking to add a bit of extra storage to their garden.

We offer pent wooden sheds across a whole spectrum of sizes, with a varying range of window and door options too, so you can opt for more light if you intend to use your shed as a workshop, or no windows for added security if you prefer. Whatever design you choose, every pent garden shed in our collection is made from premium European softwood, derived from spruce or pine, and comes with a 10-year guarantee included as standard.

What is a pent shed?

A pent garden shed is constructed with a sloping flat roof that creates a modern, box-like shape — they offer more headroom on one side, and tend have an unobtrusive, contemporary finish that complements most outdoors spaces. A well-designed pent roof will naturally encourage rainwater run-off, and they’re often a more functional, affordable choice than decorative alternatives like octagonal summerhouses or sheds with barn-style rooves.

Why choose a pent shed?

  • Ideal for smaller gardens. With their compact design, pent sheds can fit discreetly into a corner of a smaller garden, without dominating the space.
  • Easy to assemble. They’re also a straightforward option when it comes to assembly, and each pent shed we offer comes with a detailed how-to construction guide.
  • Additional headroom. The sloping roof of a pent shed helps to provide a substantial amount of extra storage space, ideal for bulky tools or garden furniture.
  • Simple, contemporary design. Pent sheds have a subtle shape and modern design that’s versatile enough to suit almost any outdoor space.
  • Simple to assemble. The interlocking mechanism makes our tongue and groove sheds quick and intuitive to build, but we also provide a detailed set of assembly instructions.

Cladding Styles Available

Overlap Cladding

With overlap cladding, the bottom of one plank is placed directly over the top of the plank below it, creating a weatherproof surface that’s also easy to build, and one of the best value options available on the market.

Tongue and Groove Cladding

Sheds with tongue and groove cladding feature tightly interlocking logs; neighbouring planks of timber each feature a groove or a tongue, so they can seamlessly fit together. This results in robust, resilient structures that can last for decades when well cared for.

Loglap Cladding

Loglap cladding – also known as log board cladding – features the same interlocking mechanism as tongue and groove, but each piece of timber has a curved exterior side, so when stacked, the planks emulate the look of rustic logs.

Shiplap Cladding

Shiplap cladding is also often fitted together using the tongue and groove method, but each plank features a recess, which results in a stylish, water-tight frontage.

Pressure Treated Cladding

Designed to provide maximum longevity and durability, pressure treated cladding is submerged in a wood preservative — like Tanalith E — at a higher pressure, so it’s driven deep into the fibre of the timber.
