Barn Roof Log Cabins
A barn roof log cabin is a log cabin with a roof that resembles a barn roof. Log cabins are typically made by stacking logs horizontally to form the building's frame. The roof comes in several sections, and each side has two slopes. The steeper angle makes it great at handling rain, snow, and wind, especially in places with lots of snow. The Barn design also provides more headroom and vertical space within the building.
These are often called Gambrel roof log cabins or Dutch roof cabins. This style is often found on bigger cabins, and while it’s not as popular as a pent, apex or hipex roof, barn roof cabins are growing in popularity. Certainly Tiger customers really appreciate the higher roof with more vertical space and storage area.
