All Tiger cabin logs are designed to interlock with a chamfered finish to ensure a snug fit. The unique four-way chamfered notch system is specially designed to prevent damp or wind penetration. A smooth, solid, strong barrier engineered to meet our high quality standards.
Our timber is sustainably sourced. We use slow grown European softwood, cut in our own sawmill to a high grade. Each log fits tongue and groove for strength and solidity, and is cut to an 0.01mm tolerance. The extra thick 44mm logs have a double tongue and groove for an even firmer link.
Tiger garden buildings come with TigerFelt® as standard. This is a thicker, polyester-backed high-grade mineral felt to provide a reliable, weatherproof barrier with reduced wear and tear. Only premium quality roofing felt will do!
Joiner-made doors and windows are supplied fully glazed or boarded, and all external doors are fitted with mortice locks, with double glazing, 5-lever locks and roof shingles upgrades also available.

Beware of imitations- log cabins which use cheaper styrene plastic windows (which tend to ‘mist’ or shatter easily over time). All Tiger log cabins come with 4mm thick toughened glass as standard. This glazing is more shock and heat resistant than horticultural glass in many other buildings, making your Tiger all the more durable.

Read more >There are several steps you can take in terms of maintenance, in order to keep your summer house in the best condition possible and help it last decades to come.
For instance, we recommend that for summer houses, you opt for your timber to be pressure treated to maximise the resilience of the wood. To keep your summer house waterproof, it’s also vital to ensure that the summer house is built on the appropriate base, and that the roof is regularly tended to (including clearing your gutters). You could also consider adding other damp-proofing measures, like insulation or the installation of a damp-proof membrane.
Properly ventilating your summer house will help to keep damp at bay too, and you’ve got several to choose from. You could regularly air out your summer house the old-fashioned way, or fit air vents to improve air flow – you could even add an electric fan if you’re planning to have your cabin wired in.
Tiger summer houses are also highly customisable – not just in terms of their design but in terms of how you decorate and set them up after they’re fully built.
Painting your summer house with a proper waterproof wood paint has the double advantage of improving weather resistance and upgrading the appearance of your build. Then there’s summer house lighting to consider: will natural light be enough for your plans, or is it a good idea to add lamps or overhead lighting? You can add various utilities to your build, so lighting powered by the mains is a possibility, and you may even want to think about adding a Wi-Fi signal booster if you’re planning on working from your summer house, or running water if you’d like to have access to tea and coffee while you’re out there.
